OP thanks for posting this as well as the video. I have the exact same problem except with a brand new pump that I just installed.
When there is no air in the system and the reservoir is full of water (what it should be) is when it starts clicking like video, but when I introduce some air into the system the clicking stops and it functions as it should (nice and quiet).
Hopefully someone can help with this.
My new pump was set to 220v and I installed the plug wire exactly as the old one came off.
