New pool in the Netherlands

Finally, the build of our long wished pool has started :)
Last friday the builders started digging the hole in the ground. We were afraid of high levels of groundwater, but now that we are finished it looks very good.
There won't be any activity until tommorow, due to weekend and national holidays.

Specs for the pool:
8x4x1.5 meter (48 m3 water)
Normal sandfilter with pump
13 kW heatpump (we don't have gas here)
Salt electrolyses

The way of building is different then builds in USA. Overhere there are roughly 3 types of in ground builds : preformed polyester pool, steel wall pool (oval) or architectonic build.
We will be building the last type. First dig the hol, then make a concrete foundation. Build walls with Polystyreen building blocks and fill them with concrete. After that it's just a matter of placing the liner and you're done.
Tommorow we will be doing the foundation, and start withplacing new power lines from the house to the pumpstation.

Welkom to TFP koffie! The time lapse video is sweet it`s like serious Benny Hill action on a pool build. Your pool build is looking good.

Thanks :)

Has been a while, but in the meantime : the pool is finished! :)

I have a few more timelapse movies:

A lost day. During the leveling of the concrete floor, it started raining very hard. We had no other option then to remove all the allready applied material and build a tent:

On month later and we are done for 95% of the entire garden upgrade :)

The pool, offcourse, didn't change but the surrounding wasn't finished yet.
Here some pics of our pool and garden.

The table is custom made, and the tabletop is made out of 2 tiles we had in the garden before the build. Eacht tile is 1 square meter and weighs 80 kilos.

Todo : add some extra hardbuttons in pumpstation to overrule current setting, make some sort of screens to put between the posts of the porch, so we don't get blinded by direct sunlight or get wet when it rains, add some extra grid on the traingle, we ran out during the works, and most of all : clean up all the leftover tiles.

Upgraded my pool with 24 square meter solar heaters :)

The biggest black rectangle is my house, the black rectangle on the left is the sitting area with the poolhouse. The solar heaters are placed on the roof of that.
Not much sun since I installed, but with just a bit of direct sun (no clouds) the difference between water in and out gets up to 1.5 degrees celcius (pump on full speed).
Now, let there be sun!
