Pool light corroded

Hi, I have a 500 watt, 120 Volt, 78356 series pool light. The light has leaked a slight bit for the last years, just enough to leave 1 inch of water in the housing, even though the seal was replaced. The connections for the halogen bulb are now corroded, it doesn't look like they can be replaced because the wiring goes into the hard gel in the bottom of the light fixture. I am wondering if there is a way to fix this? If not, where can I buy a new light fixture to replace this one. I need the new model number and where to get it. The pool store near me sells one that I think would fit but its $500.

thanks in advance,
Geoff
