"Better" is a very subjective word. They both use Taylor chemistry, The TF100 supplies more of the reagents most folks use.

Yes, the colormatching FC test on the 2006 is DPD (NOT the same as FAS-DPD) and is pink. It can fade out at high FC levels. The TF100 is OTO and reads yellow and will just get darker shades through yellow, orange and brown as FC gets higher.
My K2006 doesn't appear to have a colour matching FC test, just FAS-DPD.

Richard, did the older 2006 have a color match in it? The "Test Kits Compared" page shows the 2006 as having no OTO included.

Alanmathew got the TF100 which is a great choice! I bought my 2006C before I found this site and knew about the TF100 or TFTestkits.
I like the Taylor kit better myself. Only because the case has a much smaller footprint than the TF100.

Yep, the Taylor kit has a really nice case. I think the case alone is $33 in Canada
