I am a 48 yr old ME from UF (1985, howdy waterbear) and I live in Panama City Beach, FL. I have enjoyed this forum for the last four months. I literally inherited pool maintenance and did not know poolwater chemistry from a hole in the ground, pun intended. Tried the PS's. Three stores, three consistently different test results. Found myself here, bought a test kit and read the forum. And read the stickies. And read the forum. It took a month and lots of salt, calcium, stabilizer, baking soda, aeration and a mustard algae shock to get the feral pool tamed. The family pool is CRYSTAL clear now and for the past three months. The nieces, the nephews, and grandkids thank you. The screams, the splashing and giggles make it all worthwhile. Couldn't have done it without this site. I'm a BB'er (no Borax yet).
