Summer Escapes 12'x31" - need to attach a Intext Easy set 530 gallon filter pump -

I really need someone to help since my husband is useless helping me with this.

I had a Krystal Klear sand filter 1600 gph pump attached to the pool but the motor crapped out on me. I couldn't afford a replacement pump and I read that my pool ( 2100 gallons) doesn't need such a large pump. I bought an Intext 530 gallon filter pump and plan to run it most of the time. Problem is - the hoses for the Intex 530 pump are 1 1/4" in diameter and the connectors already on the pool are 2" connectors that fit the hoses for the Krystal Klear pump.

Now I really need to figure out how to make the new pump hoses to fit the connectors on the pool. We've been getting a lot of rain and the pool is full of **** now so I really need to get that pump to work. Anyone have a clue how I can do this?

I actually took the hoses to the Home Depot and they couldn't help with connectors because the threads are different than the Intex connectors. This is really making me so depressed because I can't seem to find any way to make the new smaller filter hoses to adapt. I also have the skimmer filter on the side wall of the pool and have disabled the filter pump for that one so I just need to find a way to make that connect to the hose that pumps into the filter pump.

Could anyone please help me with this?????? Please???

Thanks so much -- Julie

The pump you need is about 1 hp, if you run the intex pump 24/7 it will last about 3 weeks :-( It will burn itself out..... They are not made to be run all the time....
the Intex 2650 sand filter is the one you need......

You could also have a look on Craigslist and see if you can find a quality second hand one..... As for the hoses, you are going to have to adapt your hoses.... It will require you to do a little DIY..... I had to cut my liner...
