I have had a small stream of water (app. 8 oz/minute) coming from the waste port of my Hayward VARI-FLO XL SP0714T MPV for days. After several unsuccessful attempts to stop the leaking, the small stream finally turned into a gush and that's when I stopped fidgeting with it. I thought a complete MPV replacement was the only sure thing to fix the problem but even with the new one, water is still streaming from the waste port (back to the small stream). Other than this leak, everything is running perfectly. I've been trying to open my pool since Memorial Day weekend and my pool is not getting any cleaner. What could be the problem?
