I accidentally knocked a whole 2 lb container of yellow treat into my 23000 gallon pool. Now my pool will not hold chlorine and drops from 8ppm to 1.5ppm in 24 hours. My CYA is 50. The pool looks fine, but I am concerned. Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix it?

Welcome to the forum. Continue to add chlorine. It will eventually counter the effects of Yellow Treat which we think shouldn't be near your pool in the first place.....bad stuff.
What does it do? I know it isn't part of the Bleach and borax system, but is there more going on that is negative?
From the quick search I did, it looks like an algaecide. Chlorine should take care of any algae issues you ever have. As Dave said, just keep adding Chlorine.
