Waiting on UPS to bring my new sand filter!!!

Anything I should know before hooking it all up? It's the Intex 2100GPH, anything I should know before hooking it all up?

We've been using the cartridge A filter that came with our pool up until now. Can't wait to see the difference.

Have you bought sand? That is about the only think I can thing of that you will need. And a nice hard, flat place to set it.

Your pool probably has the small fittings, that the hoses are clamped to, right?

If the sand filter doesn't have them included, you will have to purchase the large pool wall fittings:

Look around, you may be able to find them for less $$.

Don't try the B adapters, they will not handle the higher flow and pressure the sand filter puts out.

We're going to pick up sand this evening. Planning to set it up tomorrow. I was waiting to see what all came in the box before I ordered anything extra.

Looking at your signature line, I note you have the 15' x 48" same as mine. By using PoolMath, and carefully measuring your bleach etc, I'm sure you will find that your water is closer to 4500 gallons. Measure your water depth, and recalculate using that.

Charlie, I usually use 4750(I took the middle of 4500 and 5000) for PoolMath. I've been trying to keep the water level below the seam at the top as much as possible, but last year and this year so far we've had enough rain that I'm constantly trying to drain to keep it there. 1 cup of 8.25 bleach usually raises right around 1.1 FC. I'll take time tonight and actually measure tonight!

Edited to add, I've never actually only had to add 1 cup of bleach! LOL I usually go through about 32oz a day. But that usually gets me pretty close to 4.5 FC increase.
