Hayward 3/4 superpump.. bearings going bad? Fix yourself?

I have a 7 yr old 3/4 HP that's making noise. It's just basically the same noise it's made since new, but 5 times louder.

Can I get the bearings I need locally???

Is it worth it to fix?

It is certainly possible to get bearings and to replace them yourself, but it is fairly complex to do so. There aren't generally handy cross references to lookup the part number, so you usually have to remove the old ones and then find something that matches. One good option is to take the motor to a motor rebuild shop, which should exist locally.

I just purchased 2 new bearings, shaft seal and a bearing puller from www.wetheadpumprepair.com
