second skimmer...

so, i noticed that my new Doughboy Desert Spring pool has cutouts in the steel walls for a second skimmer and return on the opposite end of the pool. watched intently as the PB installed the skimmer thats on it. It was as straightford as the hayward skimmer install on my old intex.

looks like its a hundred bucks for a second skimmer, probably 30 bucks or so in PVC to add a second skimmer and return to existing plumbing. I have not backfilled pool yet, so im wondering if should do this now, so that I can bury pvc lines in backfill for clean install. is it worth it to install second skimmer and return?

If you have prevailing winds that change from season to season or from one time of day to another, you might want to add that second skimmer so you always have one on the downwind side
