Hi All -
One previous newbie post ... appreciate the answers? Was considering tile counter/bar top then saw some older posts where people were using the plywood below the hardiback, etc. Is this still best and/or necessary practice ? I for some reason was thinking that all I needed to do was durock and tile on top of that? I know I don't need to use any plywood around the grill.
Also - was thinking about building a separate frame (12-15 inches) for bar counter and attaching frame to top of bar wall frame as separate pieces. Have seen some pics with short counter studs coming directly from top of wall frame eliminating the need for the inside trac of the bar counter and attachment to bar wall.
If this makes any sense - does anyone have a good pic or explanation on how to do this ?
Thanks for any help !
