thought I'd post this picture and attempt to give some hope to anyone starting out with a green monster...just follow the suggestions the guys/gals give out here and you will be home free...without going to your local pool store

Your water looks great ! Hats off to ya for getting it looking that good. Kinda liberating to get away from the pool store isn't it ?
not sure of the temp but the water is great...and it is nice to have this group to fall back on....
