I am going to install a through wall skimmer, how high on the skimmer when it is installed can the water level be? We like the water level up to about the gray line on the Intex but looking at pics here that may be to high, can you go half way up the skimmer.

Half way up the skimmer is fine. Skimmers will work from about 1/4 of the way up to almost the top, but they work best right around half way up.
Thanks Jason I was hoping that it would work at the higher level because that is were the wife likes the water level to be and I also installed the 2650 Intex pump a couple of weeks ago so there is alot of flow now and it is working great.
