My pool installer is suggestion the 3 hp VS intelliflow for the raised spa. Thoughts?

The VS pumps cost quite a bit more up front, but use less electricity than a regular pump. In CA, where electricity is expensive, that is likely to be a good deal. It is also nice to have a VS on a spa because you can adjust the speed to get exactly the amount of spa jet action that you want.
