I have an intex above ground pool that I would like to heat with a natural gas heater. I want to disconnect the heater for winter storage and reconnect next year. Could I disconnect and reconnect the gas and PVC lines myself or do I need a professional. Leaving the heater where it is is not an option. Thanks!

The water lines will depend on how you are hooking them up. If flex lines are being used, then simple hose clamps will allow you to unhook the heater.
The gas line is a bit more involved. When the line is installed there has to be a shutoff valve near the heater. After that there can be a union in the pipe that can allow for a disconnect. This is not something that should be undertaken without a good knowledge of what you are doing
