Have tried to make the switch to a Dual Speed Pentair Pump (WFDS-26) with an electronic timer (P1353ME). With the old mechanical Intermatic timer, I can wire the pump for high speed or low speed (the toggle switch on the back of the pump has no effect as I can tell) but not both. When I wire the P1353ME, I get power to the controller, but the pump will not run turn or cycle on. I've read enough on the boards to figure out that the enclosed instructions are not great (the pump install instructions are especially worthless). My "assistant" is a licensed electrician, between us we can still not figure it out (this is his first time installing an electronic timer, and I might as well be a dog watching TV on this one). Does any one else have this set up or have had similar problems? I have to believe this is a wiring issue, but am at a loss.

Pentair Whisperflow Manual (makes no mention of the toggle switch other than on page 8 under "Not Shown"):

Seems lots of folks have had this same or similar buffoonery; your help appreciated.

You need to setup the P1353ME in mode 2, then wire the output of circuit #1 to the high speed connection on the pump and circuit #2 to the low speed connection on the pump. The other hot wire, that does not get switched by the P1353ME, goes to the common connection on the pump.

If that isn't enough for you to figure it out, please post a picture of the wiring diagram on a metal plate on the pump and a picture of the electrical connections inside the motor. From that we will be able to give you much more specific instructions.
