New to the forums, but thought I'd post a thread to track my progress as we get our pool built. Went with a local PB who designed a freeform pool w/ spa that is 35'x18'. Following is a list of all the equipment listed on the contract:

Any problems so far? We really had very little input into the equipment, as we knew nothing about pools, but since since I've been reading up and it seems Pentair is pretty well respected.
Our dig was yesterday, and after being told they would start around 7-8am, we got a call late the night before saying that they would actually be doing our dig second in the day. I was a bit worried when they didn't show up until 2:30, but they got everything dug before dark. The crew was pretty cool about answering some of my random questions, and even used the Bobcat to deliver dirt to my front yard and even smoothed it out for us in a section where I was trying to raise and level the yard.
Later last night we ran into our first crisis. We've added on a utility room and a bathroom to the rear of the house that connected a once detached garage to the house. Turns out the sewer line for the washer and the bathroom runs directly into the new hole in your backyard, and no one mentioned to me that they ripped out the pipe headed to the septic system. When I started looking more, I found that the pipe running from our guest house across the yard to the septic tanks got ripped up too. In the process of figuring out how to get this plumbed back in, and if it's worth it to run temporary lines. We are already having to rip out the aerobic septic system in the back yard and move it to a drip system in the front, but that crew isn't available for a week or two.
One question - What is the best image host to use for pictures? I have some to post, but haven't posted a picture in a forum in probably 5+ years.
