New Pump???

Hello all,
New to forum, and I have a question regarding my pool pump...
I have an inground pool with a Hayward DE filter with a 1 hp pump.
The filter was right next to the pool, and was loud and ugly in the pool area.
I moved the filter approx. 50 ft. I am not sure if my pump with accommodate this further length.
I am going to update to a VS pump anyway, but I am not sure what hp would be max I could use..
I have 1 1/2 plumbing.....
Any advice is greatly appreciated.....

Moving your filter was fine.

Can't suggest a VS pump without knowing the size of your filter (and the type) and the size of your pool.

You don't say if your pool is in-ground or above ground. Please add some basic information about your pool to your signature.

A 1 HP in-ground pump can handle the extra distance. Some above ground pumps will have problems with that.
