This is my first go at opening my pool, we installed it last summmer. I am having trouble removing one of my winterizing plugs on one of my step jets. The plug is the white pvc with an oring on it. When I tried loosening it, the entire housing would spin. Is there any trick to get the plug out? Also, I've noticed sand coming in from behind the white flange/trim, did I create a leak? Should I try turning the plug back in the "tight direction" to see if the housing will stop spinning?
