First opening

This is the first year opening my pool . Previous owner opened it for me last year .
Readings are
TA 80
Ch120
PH7.5
FC1.5
CYA20
Is it poss to have FC left from last year? Fill water tap tested no FC . I closed late sept used tarp cover. I brought it up to slam level b4 closing last year. Water is clean and beautiful thanks to TFP .What steps should I take first . I am currently using chlor-brite dichlor to bring up FC Due to purchasing SWG in offseason that will be installed after Memorial Day .

Is the water clear?

If so, it sounds like you closed it properly.

Yes possible. I open with chlorine from last season all the time. Especially with a tarp cover. Less like if one were to use a mesh cover.
