DE required for older filter. Clearwater Waterways DE

Hi all

Have a friend that bought a house with a Sylvan pool and the filter is a Clearwater DE. The filter is about 48 inches tall from the bottom of the filter to the top of pressure gauge , does anyone know if that is the 48 or 60 square foot filter?

Are there any other numbers still readable on the filter itself?

How about the multiport valve? You might be able to cross reference by looking for how many DE filters use that particular valve.

Both of them look like they were in the sun. I will look more closely at the multiport the next time I'm over. All of the marking on the labels are bleached out from the elements.

There is a number on the label that looks etched.
Probably a serial or model number

Most likely a serial number.

Crystal Water filters appear to be made by Waterway. Perhaps a call to their service folks can shed some light on it?

That filter looks alot like my old crystal clear DE2 filter size and shape. I would say it is a 48.
