Due to my high CYA levels (100+) I am doing a partial drain of my pool. Currently, I have a hose attached to a faucet bib near the pool pump to drain. Slow going but plan to rent a pump at home depot. Just wondering, is there an issue running the pool pump with the return outlets not being submerged in water? I currently have the water running through the pump on the main drain that is located on bottom of the pool. I have shut off valves through the cleaner and skimmer.
