Liner Removed and Water coming around main drain

Hello,

Tonight we drop the liner... My concern is the water that is seeping from up and around the maindrain and not out of the maindrain itself... It would have nothing to do with the Gaskets.....

Anyone else have this problem?

And if so, how would you fix it

Sounds like ground water. You will need to pump it out until your ready to install. Once the water is in the pool its presure will keep the groundwater down i believe. Someone more knowledgeable will chime in im sure

I am guesstimating that from the time I last hit it with the Shop Vac till water is up 2-3" to provide presssure, so I am gauging how much that will be right now..

Does anyone have a quick patch idea so help stave off the water for just a small period of time?

I am not sure I understand that. Are you saying 2-3 " leaks in and then it stops? If so, that will not be an issue.

I can think of no way to patch that.

Should I release the pressure at the bottom by opening that nut in the bottom of main drain?

It sounds to me like you need a well point to get rid of ground water.
