Toggle Switch on Pentair WhisperFlo Dual Speed Pumps?

Can anybody say whether a Pentair WFDS-26 or WFDS-4 have a toggle switch built in already? Do you have to use a dual speed timer always, or could I install the pump (use the switch if it has one), and get to the timer later?

Pump died this morning, so looking to minimize the immediate outlay (and sales tax) locally. Thanks!

My memory is that the WhisperFlo does not come with a switch.

Unless you have a main pump powered pool cleaner, it almost always works to have a manual switch and a simple on/off timer. You leave the pump on low speed nearly all the time and manually turn it up to high when backwashing, vacuuming, or priming the pump.

Have you considered just buying a 2 speed motor for your existing pump? That would be the cheapest route forward. Then you can use a 3 way home light switch to select speed.
