Gunite Shot--Thoughts on hosing down with water each day?

The gunite crew shot the gunite today. The lead member suggested that I water the pool down twice per day for the next week or so to prevent cracks. My PB indicated that it would be unnecessary since the temperature is fairly cool (50s at night and 68 to 80 during the day) and not up into the hot summer months of July. I mentioned what the concrete crew said and he indicated that I could do that but it is not necessarily necessary.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this matter. I am thinking of just airing on the said of caution and hosing it down anyway?

Why not do it? There is no downside.

Gunite cures just a little better if it is kept slightly moist.

Yes, we were instructed to water ours once a day for 7 days unless it rained.

get enough soaker hoses and put it around the edge of the pool. Turn on water and boom done. No hand watering or using a sprinkler in bottom of the pool

So have you been watering the pool or not?

I bought a automatic timer, used a hose splitter and used two sprinklers to water the shell twice a day. Around noon and 7pm. Then pumped the water out the bottom with a small electric submersible pump.
