I'd suspect my gauge was reading wrong if it never rose!
An annual cleaning is probably a good idea, just so you can see what the filter actually looks like.

Thanks for the reply Richard. It is fairly new and it did register a rise of 1/2 pound. We get very little debris and we net it daily. We had a larger rise during the first six months but I think that was due to construction debris. I was just curious if there is a reason to clean it other than rise in PSI. It sure would be nice to just have to clean it every two years.
