White thermometer turns pink

Okay, this is weird.

Purchased a new white plastic thermometer and immersed in the water and the plastic turned bright pink. This also happened partially on a white bag I was using with my pool skim.

Numbers:

PH=7.6
FC=5.5
TA=70
CC=0.0
CH=250-300
CYA=30

Just started heating pool yesterday. Pool is basically clear with some minor powdery debris. Filtering, brushing and running robot about 10 hours per day to clear.

That is really surprising. Plastic finishes are normally quite stable.

Your numbers look quite good and I would say your pool water had nothing to do with the change.
