High winds, need to worry?

Hey guys/girls...
recently I just set up my intex 16 x 48 and luckily got it filled intime because were experiencing some really high wind gust (40-60 mph)!
Tried tying the cover down but to no avail so I just took it off (with the winds help), my question is...is the pool going to be ok?
My wife says yes because of the weight of the water but this is our first time owning a pool and were renting the house so 5000 + gallons of water can make for some serious paranoia!

Should be fine. Not sure how the cover would really lower the wind load anyway.
There is really nothing you can do to brace it anyway ... so stop worrying about something out of your control ;)

If the wind damages a 40,000 lb pool, that will be the least of your issues. :D

Certainly a tree could fall on it but you can't prevent that either.

You should be fine and I can't think of anything preventative you can do. Take your lawn chairs in.
