I have a Sta-Rite Cristal-flo 24-inch sand filter. The manual says to use #20 Silica sand in the size range of .45 to .55mm, and a uniform coefficient less than 1.75.
Okay, so I went to the two local big stores and found "Pool Filter Sand" with no data on the bags. One was Quikrete and their website didn't have much information except to say "Silica sand, sieve size 20-40, particle size .85 to .425mm".
Should I use this sand? Or, should I start looking elsewhere for sand with good data markings?? I may not have many choices.
