Just Opened, High Water Level

My local pool company just opened my IG pool and I noticed that my water level is too high, above the skimmer. Is it ok to drain the pool so soon after they added chemicals? They added: Chlorine, "clarifier" (not sure exactly what it was, CYA, and salt (I have a SWG)

Sure, it is fine to drain a little water right now. Just keep an eye on it and don't drain too much

A pool company that went ahead and added chemicals when there was a obvious problem (high water). I don't think I would be using that company again. They should have fixed the problem before adding chemicals. Just my opinion.
