Pool pumps

How long do pool pumps usually last. I got one in 3/04 and something went on it before warranty and got a new one 3/05. Now I need a new one. It is a 1 1/2 hp centurion.

Wondering if it is the correct size. My pool is about 29 x 19 freeform with 6 returns and 3 jets for the bench also have a small waterfall. One skimmer and one mail drain. It is almost 15 years old.

That seems like a very short life for a pool pump. We have a 1HP Jacuzzi pump and this is the 7th summer we've had it and it's still going strong(knock on wood). I know it's older then 7 years too because we bought the whole filter used at a garage sale from people who tore down their pool.

Also, It has pretty much ran 24/7 for 6 months out of the year(summer), up until this year when we bought a timer.
