Changing plumbing to access filter

Hi All

Went to remove the multiport off my filter only to realise it cant be done as one pipe doesn't a union and everything is glued together (output pipe in picture below going to the valve).

I was thinking I would need to put a union in the short horizontal pipe coming out of the filter. Is that the best option?

That would work. Or the very short vertical above the valve to give you more clearance around the filter.
The union on the inlet side is on the pump right?

Yes it is. Undid that one and then realised nothing on the outlet side. Any links or pics of the type of union that would work?

Was thinking the short vertical would be too short to do it on

Unions all look the same. Just pick one up locally.

Just out of curiosity, where are you located? Your electrical installation suggests either Australia or Europe.
