Adding bypass to a cartride filter

Could some post a pic or two of the plumbing please?
I'm replacing an old Jacuzzi sand filter with a Hayward C2030 and would like to achieve the same bypass set-up.

That thread was 2 years old and I am not sure they would be around to post up any pictures. The optional valve setups were pretty well described in that thread, but I am not sure if anyone actually made the plumbing changes.

What is unclear about the description? What are you trying to accomplish?
