sand in my pool : (

I'm afraid that what I thought was bits of leaves in my pool is actually a good bit of sand. How bad of news is this? I tried to upload pics but I get an error. I'm guessing due to image size

Are you sure its sand? Can you pick it up and feel it? Not pollen or (gawd forbid!) algae?

If you can capture some to rub between your fingers...... algae feels slimy, dirt/sand feel gritty, pollen feels squishy.

I use tinypic to upload my pics. It's nice because you don't need to setup an account. Just upload the pic and copy the HTML.

I'm no expert but squishy sounds like degraded leaves or algae.

Pollen. Been there...........done that. Doing it again now as well!

If you put a skimmer sock in your skimmer basket, you'll collect a mess of this pollen and may be reassured it *is* pollen. Its weird and fluffy yet wet. Springtime in Georgia and we're all absolutely yellow with pollen.

yea, i'm pretty sure y'all got it right. I'm pretty sure it's pollen. I have it basicallyo out of the pool now. thanks
