    our big remodel

    We are almost done with our remodel. It has been a long couple of weeks and we miss our pool It looks tomorrow will be the big refill day or should I say 2-3 day fill (gotta use our hose water)
    here are some pics of our journey.

    30-40yr old prehistoric IG gunite 20 X 40 approx 30000gals
    now with new cool blue Diamond Brite and blue waterline tile (looking good for 40yr old pool)
    new Hayward 244T sand filter, 3/4 Hayward pump, Jandy heat pump
    pool skim (love it)

    well I posted them backwards but, you guys get the idea
    and one more of the completed diamond brite...tomorrow they will acid wash and then add water
    today was a stresser...the threat of rain all day (gotta love ohio weather)

    Thanks for the pictures. Very nice remodel you have done.

    In one of the last pictures, it shows an apparently new skimmer already connected to a long piece of pipe. This was installed after the diamondbrite?

    2007 2 HP, three-phase Hayward TriStar pump which is powered by an Ikeric VS-200 variable speed drive system
    1983 Laars XE Pool/Spa Heater Type ES 400,000 BTU, 1998 Hayward Super Star-Clear C-4000 cartridge filter (400 sq ft, 4 separate cartridges)
    1998 Polaris 380 pressure-side cleaner w/ 3/4 HP booster pump
    One skimmer :( and one PoolSkim :), One Supervision Galaxy LED pool lamp, Second story solar panels
    Hayward/GoldLine AquaLogic PS4 (replaced 1983 vintage dual circuit Intermatic timer)

    Oh' that was the temporary skimmer that the pool guys put on (for the past month or so). with the old skimmer it was so hard to vacuum because it tied with the main drain and later we found the old skimmer did have a leak so, they just put down a temp skimmer (it just sat over the decking and grass and attached to the pump).

    the new built in skimmer was put in before the diamond brite...they just haven't taken away the temp skimmer sitting on my deck yet or maybe it now belongs to me

    Chrisa, Your remodel looks great! I'm sure your ready to get back into your pool. Gees by the time they are done it is going to look brand new Congrats and enjoy.
