I just started on the BBB method. I'm just about out of trichlor tablets and should I continue to use them or just balance it with acid, bleach and baking soda? The place I get my water tested is pushing the Bioguard Silk tabs and Poollife multi-purpose tabs

If you're just about out - don't buy any more. Just use the bleach and stuff. If you're wondering if you can use what you have left, that depends on your CYA levels. The gurus here are going to tell you to invest in a good test kit. Anyway, since the trichlor adds CYA, if your CYA is high already (which it will be if you've been using trichlor for any length of time at all) don't use any more. You will just need to drain some of your water. If it's low, and you decide to use up your pucks, keep an eye on the CYA (stabilizer) levels.
