MY TA is 0 and my PH is below 6.8

I have a new pool (bout a wk old) which had an acid startup.

MY TA is 0 and my PH is below 6.8. I don't really notice much plaster dust when I brush.

Should I just keep brushing and let the PH get back up? Raise TA as well?

Did you get any startup guidance from the builder?

Anything required to keep it in warranty?

Do you have warranty concerns?

If not, you want to use borax to try and raise the pH, this will also raise the TA. If you raise the TA first, then it will get too high before you get the pH back in line.

Nothing at the moment. Just said add acid and check the ph.

I'll add the Borax tonight along with some bleach.

I'd shoot for 7.2 - the new plaster is going to drive the pH up even further. No sense in adding borax to get it to 7.8, only to have to add acid to bring it down again a day or two later.
