Define "recommended range" and how did you come to test?

After learning what I've learned here, I would most certainly worry about CYA levels from the git-go. Why ignore a potential problem knowing you might have to deal with it later?

As you can see by all the responses, we really would like to help figure out what the problem is that is causing your swimsuits damage. Since we can't put eyes and hands on your pool and run our own tests, we have to rely on you to provide those test results for us. Telling us things are "low" or "in range" does not give us enough information to troubleshoot the problem. Those are very subjective terms and mean different things to different people, and does not help us analyze the chemical levels in regard to each other. If you don't have a kit that can test TA, CA, CYA, Ph, FC, and CC, please take a sample of water to a local pool store for testing and report the results here.
