Hi all, I have researched here and found one answer to this that stated there was a lot of conversation about the pros and cons of polymer and steel walls for inground pools. I tried to find those discussions but failed, so I apologize for reposting. If someone can point those out I'd be happy to use what's already been said and not waste everyone's time!!
We have had 3 builders out here. All but one would use steel. The last one in the mix said he prefers polymer because it won't rust and he likes the braces better. I am in NC = clay soil.
The plan is for a 14x28 or 16x32 to 6'.
I have read online that the polymer pool limits the cantilever decking and that the polymer is more likely to crack and also somehow limit the type of ladder you use (I found that odd). I've also read that the new steel walls are treated and now less likely to ever rust, but if they do it is an 'easy' fix to buff and be done. And does it matter that we are planning on a salt system?
I'd love all the insights you can all provide!
