when i test for ph i get a 7.2 however, when i let the test sit for about 5 or 10 minutes it goes above8.2. which is correct, the test when you do it at the spot or the 5-10 minutes wait? i am getting confused with it.

read the pH test when you first do it. Are you testing with strips or drops because what you describe is usually seen with the strips.
