My booster pump (Max-E-Pro 1.5HP) for water feature doesn't seem to work after 2+ yrs of good running. I didn't run or call for any diagnostics but it seems that it doesn't pump water anymore and just makes noises. Is this usually time for replacement (installed in 2011 summer) or something I can fix? Should I check n clean the filter first before I call for service? BTW, it's already out of warranty. I'm so distressed b/c I spent $2,000 last summer fixing a/c unit now this happens...I would appreciate any helpful comments.

Certainly clean and inspect it. What kind of noises? Could be as simple as a capacitor.
