Can a pool have too many return fittings? I understand the principles of moving water around in the pool and have looked into the topic a good bit. I thought about adding some extras just because its not very expensive and just putting them all on valves. Do pools need returns at different heights along the pool wall?

With a pool that size, I'd think 3 returns would do you evenly spaced with one in the deep end you can point downward for sure. Is this a build in progress or existing?
I am sorry my signature was the default signature I guess. This pool will be 20x40 free form concrete poured. I will be digging soon.
Especially if you valve them, 4 returns might be very nice although 3 is just fine as woodyp says.
