Hi All,

Using a Taylor K2006 test kit, always I get:

  • On TA tests the color changes more to pink rather than red
  • On CH the first color change is more pinkish rather than red, and the end color is not blue but more violet

Is that normal? The color changes occur at reasonable values (TA 70-80, CH ~280), but it's just that the color is not right.

Thanks!

The TA test final color is more like Barbie Pink than McDonalds Red. If you have high FC, it might go blue>yellow rather than green>pink.

The CH test will go to sky blue eventually. Lavendar means you're getting close. Try another minute of shaking before you add more drops.

You can also add two or three more drops of color indicator for more vivid colors at the end points. This is one of the few instances where you can vary from testing instructions.

Agree on speedstir, it helps tremendously on all the tests.
