I'm in the market for a robotic cleaner. I set up a closed small local group buy with a local pool store. He is giving us the option of the Aquabot Rapids 4wd or Dolphin DX4. The Dolphin will cost about $150 more. I was set one getting the Dolphin but the guy at the pool store is recommending the Aquabot due to easier and less expensive to fix if anything goes wrong. The Dolphin has a 3 year full warrantee and the Aquabot only a 2 year.

It's for a vinyl rectangular 20x40 swg pool.

So which one should I go with?

Thanks for your replies.

My debris load is minimal. Usually just sand/dirt from the farm fields that surround my house. So I think for size these should be fine.

The pool company just added the Hayward Tigershark QC as an option, which would be at the same price point as the Dolphin. So now I have even more to think about.
