Chemistry For Marquis Finish?

OK big newbie question here. I've searched the forum for this and haven't found an answer.

I'm buying a house that has a pool with a Marquis finish. I'm told this is an aggregate finish. Does this have plaster? I'm not clear if I should use the recommended levels for plaster pools. One post I saw stated that concrete pools should use vinyl settings.

I haven't taken possession of the house yet so haven't been able to test the water. Looking forward to getting in there and learning more!

Welcome to TFP!!!

You should use the "plaster" chemistry for anything that is not vinyl or fiberglass.
Did you already order one of the Recommended Test Kits?

When you know more, add the filter size/model number and which VS pump {check your signature} you have.

Sounds like your ready to get ahead of the curve and that's fantastic!
Indeed you'll go with the plaster levels for your chemistry as blizzle said.
You might check out the ABC,s in pool school. It's a good place to get started.
