weird pump issue ???

My pump is surging and getting a lot of air in the basket ..
When i switch the jandy valves to the SPA mode , it works perfect and in about 1-2 min. All air is out of the system , pump quiets down and runs perfectly.

Switch back to pool and air comes back ?????
Pump re plumbed new jandy 3 ways ....
Good water level ... IDK ??? Could it be a obstruction ?.
i cant figure it out "..

Another quick thing to check is your weir door to make sure it is swinging freely in the proper direction.

Getting air in the pump basket is a suction side leak. I'd say that it isn't the pump basket lid or the drain plugs as it doesn't leak in spa mode. I'd start running water over everything while it's leaking and see if the bubbles stop or lessen.

And check the water level. Water too low lets the skimmers draw air in a vortex.
