New pump, Filter and return question

Just replaced a Sta-rite dura-glas 1hp uprated pump with a new Sta-rite Max-e-pro 3/4 full rated pump. The input and out put on the old pump were 1 1/2 In. the New pump has 2in, in and out. The pipe coming from the skimmer and drain was 2 inch up to the jandy valve, and 1 1/2 to the pump I was able to change the pipe going to the pump from the jandy valve from 1 1/2 to 2 in, but the return lines are all 1 1/2 in. The pool is about 6000 to 7000 gallons the best i can estimate. The pool filter is 70 sq ft. The questions i have are, is the pool filter to small? Is the return line to small or ok. If replace the pool filter, there would still as of now be 1 1/2 return to the pool after the filter. Thanks

There is no problem just using the existing 1.5" pipe after the pump. Filter size should also be fine.
