Is a pool aerator needed if rain sheer is going in(pool remodel)?

Probably a dumb question but wanted to get some input. I am in a pool remodel and adding a rain sheer which will be much more affective of cooling or agitating any water.c
The aerator is a fan type mounted along the deck. Any possible reason to keep it??

Is there a way to keep it just so you can access it later if wanted? You may not need it, but then again...

Just a thought, since the sheer may be all you ever need from here on out.

Sounds like I could live without it, here in Phoenix I think they are common but at 120 deg nothing really helps! We haven't used it much other than the kids want to play with it.
I thought about leaving it too (why not) but the spout is right at my water tile and (raised beam)stone joint line, moving it up might be more work than necessary.
