So we put the new pool up in November and are trying to figure out an entry option. We're selling the vinylworks deck we had with the intex since the new pool is round.
We picked up a set of majestic wedding steps off craigslist last month. They hubbs doesn't want a rail height deck because we sit on a bluff overlooking a park and feels like he's "on display" when he's on the deck. The steps mount to a deck so we've been arguing. Ummm discussing,yeah that's it discussing other options.
We going to backfill the pool area with pea gravel and we ordered a set of fiberglass mobile home steps that are 48" tall and have a 2 ft deep platform on the top. This will take us to top rail height once the gravel is in. We'll install rails on the steps and a self closing gate at the bottom for code. We're going to order wood boardwalk for the walkway around the pool as well as a 12x12 boardwalk patio for the area as well.
Any thoughts on the step idea? We have a 30x60 fiberglass deck on the house now and it's awesome so we're thinking it would hold up well for the pool as well. Especially with salt water.
